Our conversation begins at the intersection of our life and God's Word. We pray, share and serve our community in various compassionate ways.

My wife Julie and I have been married for 35 years and raised 2 children who are married and have 2 grandkids. Our Life Group is made up of people our age and younger married and single. Each week we study God’s Word, we laugh, we cry, we encourage each other. Our plan as a group is to reach out to diverse needs including single mothers and children, women coming out of prison and others as part of our Compassion Ministry.

Bob and I attended Christian Chapel in it's infancy for about 18 years, then moved to K.C. with our jobs. About five years ago, we retired and returned to Columbia and our church family at Christian Chapel. We have been married 50 years in June 2010. We've raised three children - all married, and have seven grandchildren.

REACHING… People of our same age group (boomer); however, none of us actually act like it. My wife Vickie and I have raised 2 Daughters who have both married and given us 7 WONDERFUL Grandchildren. Several years after they left the nest, Vic and I got an unexpected opportunity to adopt a Son and we did. Now our home is very interesting and blessed with all the “stuff” that a teenager can bring to it. That being said; we would encourage any age group of people, single or married to join our group. Our main purpose is to lift one another up; sharing each other’s burdens, rejoicing together in our good news and crying together in the sorrows that come all of our way from time to time. Our goal as a group has been to reach out to the community in serving meals to individuals or organizations that are in need. If you’d like to be a part of us, we’d love to have you!
